Memories about the visit to Romania. Wspomnienia uczennic o pobycie w Rumunii.

Day 1
Sunday/Monday
From Poland to Romania travelled five students and two teachers. We started the trip at 4 o'clock pm. We drove to Warsaw and then we flew a plane. We arrived to the capital of Romania at half past one of time in Romania. When we came to a hotel in Campulung, we went to sleep. That was a very big day because almost everyone flew a plane for the first time.

Day 2
Tuesday
We got up at 7.00, because at 8.00 we had breakfast. About 9.00 we went to School “Michai Tican Rumano” in Berevoesti. There we were welcomed with bread and salt.  We exchanged our presents and had a small treat. We visited the Primary School and Kindergarten. Next, we went to the restaurant to have lunch. After this we saw Romanian folk dances performed by students at school. When it finished, we watched the presentation of the Romanian Educational System. We also visited the local museum and next we went to our hotel.

Day 3
Wednesday
We Got up at 7.15. We had  breakfast at 8 o`clock in a hotel. Later, we had a cooking contest. Our team prepared a fruit salad. We used many different fruits, for example:  a watermelon, an apple, grapes, bananas and lemons. The dish was delicious! We served our fruit salad in the shell of the watermelon with some dressing of yoghurt and honey. Everyone who tasted our salad said “It’s delicious”. Later we were discussing the working program and the workshop. At 1.00 pm. we had lunch at a restaurant. After lunch we visited  Mateias Mausoleum. It was fantastic. Next we had free time to explore Campulung (nearby town). In the evening we had traditional dinner. The dishes were delicious. We learned Romanian traditional dance. That day was wonderful. I will remember that all my life.

Day 4
Thursday

We ate a good breakfast as every day and we went on a trip. That day we visited many interesting places. First, we went to Fruit Institute  in Maracineni. There, the scientists told us about growing various types of fruit. Then we visited the jam factory in Topvoleni.
All jams were made of 100% fruit, no sugar, preservatives or artificial colours. Coming out of the factory we could buy jars with homemade jams. They were delicious! After dinner, we went to Golesti Vinayard and Fruit Museum. There were many very interesting items and I learned how people used to live in Romania years ago. Finally, we visited the city of Pitesti. It was great!

Day 5
Friday

11 October 2013 - it  was our fifth day of a   week  stay in Romania.

It started as usually with breakfast at 8:00 am.

After eating breakfast, at 9:00 am to our hotel came the  bus, by which we travelled for quite a long time, until we got to the castle in Bran .

There, we met a guide, who told us an interesting story about the castle.

I liked the character of Dracula very much, because his name is associated with the horror that I like. After his death he was considered to be "not dead" - a vampire.

The landscapes which we saw  looking over the walls of the castle were amazing, probably for a long time  will remain  in my memory, just breathtaking.

Everywhere around we could see forests and mountains.

After visiting the castle we went to the stalls to buy some souvenirs.

After such a long day, we went to dinner at the restaurant, and then returned to the hotel.

It was the last day of our trip, so we met for a super at a restaurant. The dessert served was a fruit hedgehog and chocolate fountain!

In the end we were awarded certificates, took photos, and they were the last moments we spent in Romania. It was great. I am very happy that I could go there.
